Enable the students to obtain the fast speed reading ability, such as skimming, scanning abilities, and enlarge their views of culture.

Let students learn how to describe places with the target language

Solve the four Qs in POST-READING and recall the students' sense of protecting cultural relics.

Analyze the writing characters of the text, and let the stu-
dents get the conclusion of the real heroes of St. Petersburg

Step I Revision (7 mins)
Ask students to show their famous cultural sites in China.
Step II Pre-reading (5 mins)
Show some other pictures to attract the students
5、and then use the three questions in Pre-reading on Page 45 to lead in the text The students may think that the first question is difficult to answer. But after reading the text, they will find this is a good question. It makes us learn that to know the history of a city is the most important thing f
