Unit2 I believe that the world is what you think it is. whether/if及疑問詞引導(dǎo)的賓語從句 我們得到了什么呢? 這個(gè)賓語從句由 引導(dǎo) ,從句是個(gè) 1.whether/if引導(dǎo)的賓語從句如果我們要表達(dá)像“他不知道他們周六是否會(huì)去植樹”或“我記不清以前是否見過他”這樣的不確定的概念時(shí),從句就要用 whether 或 if 來引導(dǎo),不能用 that。 e.g. He does not know whether they will plant trees on Saturday or not. He asks whether/if we will go fishing on Sunday. Tom wants to know whether/if he needs to come early tomorrow. 注意:if與whether引導(dǎo)賓語從句時(shí)都有“是否”的意思,一般情況下可以互換。但是在動(dòng)詞不定式之前、介詞之后或者句尾有or not出現(xiàn)時(shí),一般只能用whether。 e.g. We haven’t decided whether to go or not. The old woman asked me whether/if I knew the way to the bank. 2. 文章中出現(xiàn)了這樣句子: Can you tell me how she is different? Do you know why she treats you like that? 這些賓語從句引導(dǎo)詞是什么呢?自己告訴我: 偷偷看下面:通過本模塊的學(xué)習(xí),相信同學(xué)們已經(jīng)注意到,有的賓語從句既不用that引導(dǎo),也不用whether或if引導(dǎo),而是用when,where,how或why等疑問詞引導(dǎo),這是從句意思表達(dá)的需要。 例如要表達(dá)“他問什么時(shí)間出發(fā)”時(shí),句中的“什么時(shí)間”之類的疑問時(shí),我們就要使用相應(yīng)的疑問詞來引導(dǎo)從句。 但是,在疑問詞引導(dǎo)的賓語從句中,一定要用陳述句語序。陳述語序123,一定請(qǐng)記得??! 例如:He asks how we can help protect the environment. We got separated when we went to different schools last term, but we stayed in touch. get separated 意為“分開,分隔”。 e.g. We got separated when we were young. 我們小時(shí)候就分開了。 2.So could you explain what happened then? explain v. 解釋;說明 explain sth. to sb. 向某人解釋某事 e.g. Can you explain the rules of the game?你能說明一下游戲規(guī)則嗎? I’ll explain the problem to you. 我會(huì)向你解釋這個(gè)問題。 3.Do you know why she treats you like that? treat sb. like that 意為“向那樣對(duì)待某人”。 e.g. He treated me like that when I was in trouble. 當(dāng)我遇到麻煩時(shí),他那樣對(duì)我。 4. Maybe she doesn’t feel very sure of herself in her new school. herself 意為“她自己”,是反身代詞。 單數(shù) 復(fù)數(shù) 第一人稱 第二人稱 第三人稱 e.g. She can look after herself.她可以照顧她自己。 5. Try to find out whether she feels lonely without you. 1)whether 意為“是否”,相當(dāng)于 if。 2)feel lonely 意為“感到孤獨(dú)”。 e.g. He asked me whether she was coming. 他問我她是否來。 a lonely house in the country 鄉(xiāng)下一間孤零零的房子 alone與lonely區(qū)別 alone 形容詞,“單獨(dú)的,獨(dú)自的”,還可以做副詞,“單獨(dú),獨(dú)自”。只強(qiáng)調(diào)獨(dú)自一人,沒有感情色彩。 lonely 形容詞,“孤單的,寂寞的”,強(qiáng)調(diào)孤獨(dú)的感覺,有感情色彩 He lives alone,but he doesn’t feel lonely. 小試牛刀: 1)The good friends got ____ when they went to different colleges. So be patient with her and explain to her that she can make friends with your other friends too. 1)be patient with 意為“對(duì)……有耐心”。 e.g.Ms Wang is always patient with her students. 王老師對(duì)她的學(xué)生很有耐心。 2)make friends with sb意為“與某人交朋友” e.g. I am glad to make friends with you.我很高興能和你交朋友。 8. I’ll encourage her to join in more. 1)encourage sb. to do sth. 意為“鼓勵(lì)某人去做某事”。 e.g.Our teacher always encourage us to speak English aloud in class. 我們老師總是鼓勵(lì)我們?cè)谡n堂上大聲說英語。 2)join in 意為“加入, 參加”。指參加某項(xiàng)活動(dòng)。 e.g. Would you like to join in the party tonight?你來參加今晚的派對(duì)嗎? 9. Every time I heard the other students talking and laughing, I felt even more lonely. every time, 表示“每次”。在本句中引導(dǎo)一個(gè)狀語從句。every time等于each time。 例如:Every time/Each time I ask you to do something, you always say you are too busy. 10. One day, my classmates were talking with their friends, but I sat in silence. in silence, 表示“安靜地,沉默地”。 例如:He reads the book in silence. 11. My suggestion is: Smile at the world and it will smile back. 1) suggestion是可數(shù)名詞,表示“建議”,復(fù)數(shù)形式為suggestions,它的動(dòng)詞形式為suggest。例如: I suggested doing exercise every day. 2)advice為不可數(shù)名詞,一條建議為a piece of advice,動(dòng)詞形式為advise,advise sb to do sth My teacher advises me to read English louldly. 再小試牛刀: 1) ____ I read the novel, I felt the touch of something.
