Song: (What do you want to do?) Teaching aids: Tape recorder, picture cards. Teaching procedure: 1. Warm up: ① Free talk with the class. ② Read the conversation and ask some student to act it out. 2. Revision: 1. Review the vocabulary (using the pictures) 2. Review the sentences (using the pictures or regalia) 3. Presentation (Practice 1) （1）Ask four Ss to write questions A—D on the board. （2）Ask another four Ss to read the questions aloud. （3）Have Ss look at the pictures for A. Write He’s a ________. T: (Point to each picture.) What does he do? [Ss: He’s a teacher.] （4） Let’s listen to the tape. （5） Play the tape for A, and then pause. T: What does he do? Play the tape and have Ss point to each word as the tape says it. T: Let’s listen again and this time repeat. Have Ss repeat after the tape. After enough practice, point to the pictures randomly and have Ss say the word. Point out that the sound can be made by the letters u or o. Part ②) ① Have Ss look at the sentences. ② T: I’ll read the sentences.
