1、時間狀語從句,引導時間狀語從句的普通類從屬連詞有when（當時），while（在期間），as（當，一邊一邊），before（在之前），after（在之后），since（從以來），till/until（直到），whenever（無論何時），as soon as（一就）等。,時間狀語從句,eg. 1.When I went into the classroom, he was reading. 當我走進教室時，他正在看書。 2.We must strike while the iron is hot. 我們必須趁熱打鐵。 3.He read a newspaper as he went along

2、. 他邊走邊看報紙。 4.I will tell you after they leave. 于他們走后我再告訴你。 5.I told him to come back whenever he wants to. 我告訴他什么時候想回來就回來。 6.I waited till/until she was back. 我一直等到她回來,時間狀語從句,when, while when, while, as表示主句謂語作和從句的謂語動作同時發(fā)生或幾乎同時發(fā)生。 when表示點時間時，從句中用短暫性動詞；表示段時間時，用持續(xù)性動詞 eg. When I got home, my family were

He was about to go to bed when the doorbell rang. 他正要上床，忽然門鈴響了。 They were watching the World Cup when suddenly the lights went out. 他們正看著世界杯比賽，突然燈滅了。 They had just arrived home when it began to rain. 他們剛到家，天就開始下雨了。 2.有時when表示

6、ewspaper. 她在看報的時候睡著了。 while有時可以作并列連詞，表示對比，可譯成而。 I am fond of English while he likes maths. 我喜歡英語而他卻喜歡數(shù)學。 We slept while the captain kept watch. 我們睡覺而上尉擔任警戒。 while有時可引導讓步狀語從句，意思是雖然。 While they love te children, they are strict with them. 雖然他們都愛他們的孩子，但卻對他們要求嚴格。 ATTENTION:雖然during 與 while 意思很相近，但是durin

7、g是介詞，不能引導從句。,時間狀語從句,as as表示點時間時，從句中用短暫性動詞；表示段時間時，用持續(xù)性動詞。as和when兩者經(jīng)常可以通用。 eg. The thief was caught as when he was stealing in the supermarket. 小偷在超市行竊時被逮住了。 I saw Jim as when he left the meeting room. 吉姆離開會議室時候我看到了他。 as表示 一邊一邊，強調(diào)從句和主句中兩個動作交替進行或同步進行。 eg. They talked as they walked. 他們邊走邊聊。 He looked b

As time goes on, its getting warmer and warmer. 隨著時間的推移，天氣變得越來越暖了。,時間狀語從句,when, while, as的用法區(qū)別 只有當從句表示的是段時間，即其謂語動詞有持續(xù)性特征時，這三者可以通用互換。 eg. I got the news on the radio when while as I was having breakfast. 我在吃早飯的時候從收音機里獲悉這一消息。 在下列情況下，三者彼此之間不

9、能替換使用： aas更強調(diào)同一時間或緊接的一前一后或伴隨著的變化。 eg. We listened to the singer sing as he played the guitar. 我們聽著歌星邊彈吉它邊演唱。 I thought of it just as you opened your mouth. 你一張嘴我就知道你要說什幺 As he grew older, he became less and less active. 隨著他年齡的增長，他變得越來越不活潑了。,Attention,時間狀語從句,bwhen更強調(diào)特定時間，還可表示從句中的動作先于或后于主句的動作。 eg. She thought I was talking about her

11、 daughter, while in fact, I was talking about my daughter. 她以為我在談論她女兒，而事實上，我在談論我的女兒。,時間狀語從句,d若表示兩個短促動作幾乎同時發(fā)生時，用 as場合多于when。 eg. As he finished his speech, the audience burst into applause. 他結束演講時，觀眾爆發(fā)出雷鳴般的掌聲。,時間狀語從句,before before表示在一段時間之前。 eg. I must finish all the work before go home. 回家之前我必須干完所有的活

12、。 You must first learn to walk before you try to run. 在想要跑以前，你得先學會走。 He had learned English for three years before he went to London. 他去倫敦之前已學了三年英語。 before 從句往往帶有否定的含義。 eg. He ran off before I could stop him. 我還沒來得及阻止他，他就跑掉了。 Take it down before you forget it. 趁著還沒忘記的時候就記錄下來。,Attention,時間狀語從句,after

Lets play football after school. 放學后我們踢足球吧。 The sun came out soon after the storm stopped. 暴風雨過后不久，太陽出來了。,時間狀語從句,Since since表示自以來。表示動作從過去某一點時間一直延續(xù)到說話時間為止。主句中通常為延續(xù)性動詞的現(xiàn)在完成時，since從句中一般用短暫性動詞的一般過去時。 eg. It has been just a week since we arrived here. 我們到這兒剛剛一星期。 Where have you been s

14、ince I last saw you? 自上次我見過你之后，你去了哪里？ Since she was young, she has been collecting stamps. 她自年輕時起就一直集郵至今。,時間狀語從句,till, until 1Until/till用于肯定句時，表示直到為止，主句必須為持續(xù)性動詞。 eg. We shall wait until/till he comes back. 我們將一直等到他回來。 Everything went well until/till that accident happened. 直到發(fā)生那意外之前，一切都正常。 2 notunti

15、l/till表示直到才，主句通常要用短暫動詞，這時until和till可用 before代替。 eg. I didnt leave until / till before she came back. 直到她回來，我才離開的。 People do not know the value of their health till until before they lose it 人們直至失去了健康才知其可貴。 3當not until位于句首時，主句中的主語、謂語要使用倒裝語序。 eg. Not until she stopped crying did I leave. 直到她不哭了，我才離開的。

16、 4. 在強調(diào)句型中一般只用until,不用till eg. It was not until she took off her dark glasses that I recognized her.,時間狀語從句,whenever whenever是when的強勢語，它描述的不是一次性動作，而是經(jīng)常發(fā)生的習慣性動作。 eg. You are always welcome whenever you come. 無論你何時來都歡迎。 Whenever we met with difficulties, they came to help us. 每當我們遇上困難的時候，他們就來幫我們。,時間狀語

17、從句,as soon as as soon as.可譯為一就，用來表示主從句的動作是緊接著發(fā)生的。 eg. He will come and see you as soon as he can. 他一有空就來看你。 He rushed home as soon as he got the good news. 他一得到這個好消息就奔回家。,時間狀語從句,Attention:在時間狀語從句中，不能用一般將來時、過去將來時態(tài)或?qū)硗瓿蓵r，而要用相應的一般現(xiàn)在時態(tài)、一般過去時或現(xiàn)在完成時來代替。 eg.Ill telephone you as soon as I get there. 我一到達那里就

18、打電話給你。 Dont get off the bus until it has stopped. 等車停穩(wěn)后才下車。,If I get up late, I will be late for school. If I dont finish my homework, I wont go to bed.,由if引導的從句叫條件狀語從句，if意為“如果”若主句是一般將來時，從句要用一般現(xiàn)在時。,If you join the band, you will be famous.,=You will be famous if you join the band.,If you feel hungry, you should eat something.,If you feel tired, you must have a rest.,If the telephone rings, I will answer it.,If you get up late, you will be late for school.,Look and say,If you are ill, you must go to see a doctor.,If you are riding a bike in the street, you must be very careful.,
