1、Unit 2 My family
Good morning ,everyone. Today I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. I’m going to talk about “My family” My presentation is made up of four parts:
Part 1 My understanding of this lesson:
Ⅱ.The teaching aims :
1.Knowledge aim:
Throu
2、gh the true nature of the situational, teach students how to inquire about the identity of the man, and the correct use of personal pronouns, such as “he、she”. At the same time, teach the students can understand and talk with the sentences :“This is my family. Who’s that man(boy)? He is my……Who’s th
3、at woman(girl)? She’s my….. ”.
2.Ability aim:
To introduce their family members simply.
3.Emotional aim:
Pay more attention to training students’ love for the family and the life.
Ⅲ.Teaching important points and difficult points:
How to ask others their family members and introduce their own f
4、amily members.
Ⅳ.Something about the students:
1. The students have known something about how to call their family members in English simply.
2. They are lack of vocabulary.
3. They don’t often use English to express themselves and communicate with others.
4. Some of the students are very activ
5、e in the class,but the others are not interested in English at all.
Part 2 My teaching theories, methods and aids:
Before dealing with this lesson, I’ll do my best to carry out the following theories: Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as director and facilitator;
6、Combine the language structures with the language functions; Let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language.
Ⅰ. Teaching method:
Guessing games;
Question-and-answer activity teaching method;
Listening task;
Reading;
Free talk;
Pair work.
Ⅱ.Teaching

Part 3. Teaching steps :
I have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening, reading ,speaking, and writing, especially reading and speaking ability.
Step 1.Warming up
Sing a song: Finger family

Purpose: It is important to form a better surrounding for the students by singing and make the students have a cheerful state of mind to study English.
Step 2. Presentation
1. The teacher ask a student to stand up and ask:
T:Who is this girl/ boy? S: She/ He is …
The teacher and students co
9、ntinue having talks, emphasize the pronunciation of English personal pronouns.
2. The teacher shows the photos which was brought by the students, and ask: “Who’s that man/boy? Who’s that woman/girl?”And the students answer that:“He is my……,She’s my….. ”
3. Teachers shows a picture of her family gr
10、oup photo said that “This is my family”. And use the form of talks between the teacher and students introduce her family members.
Purpose:Design an English communication and activity of the introduction, stimulate the interest of the students from the experience of life.
Step 3. Practice
1.Divide
11、 the students into groups of four children.Ask one of them to stand out and show his/her photo,and the rest three ask“Who’s that man/boy? Who’s that woman/girl?”That student answer“He is my……,She’s my….. ”
2. Invite a student to come up with his/her photos, and the rest students ask“Who’s that man/
12、boy? Who’s that woman/girl?”That student answer“He is my……,She’s my….. ”
Purpose: Let the students consolidate the key points of this lesson in order to develop students’ abilty of communication.
Step 4. Assessment
Help students finish their workbook.
Purpose: To check the knowledge Ss have lear
13、ned in this period.
Step 5.Homework
1. Let students use sentences“Who’s that man/boy? Who’s that woman/girl? He is my……,She’s my…..” have talks after class.
2. Introduce their friends to their parents in English.
Purpose: It is helpful for the students to speak English as much as they as in class or after class. And in the same time,students should do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned in class.
