1. Elephants can walk for a long time and never get lost.

1) lost作為形容詞,表示“走失的;迷路的;失散的”、“丟失的;遺失的”,
常與系動(dòng)詞get或be一同構(gòu)成短語(yǔ),表示“丟失;走失;迷路”。

2) lost還經(jīng)常直接用于名詞之前,做定語(yǔ)修飾名詞。
e.g. a lost chi

小男孩落入湖中,他處于極大危險(xiǎn)中。
英語(yǔ)中,常用形容詞big或great與danger搭配,表示“巨大的危險(xiǎn)”。
