Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked i

、f Shay could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around and said,“We're losing by six runs(分)and the game is in the eighth inning(局). 33、should not be the only concern of the players. not at all一點(diǎn)也不;on the other hand另一方面。 be busy (in) doing sth.表示“忙于做某事”;too busy to do sth.

4.A make the most of sth. to do sth. 判斷排除A、D兩項(xiàng);try all sb. can/could to do sth. out of sight看不見,在視野之外;out of reach夠不著,超出了某人的能力;out of order秩序混亂;out of place不在合適的位置。

If (the radio station is) ________ with phone calls…,此時聯(lián)系短語be flooded with(被…… 9.C 根據(jù)倍數(shù)表達(dá)法“倍數(shù)+as/so+原級+as”排除B、D兩項(xiàng);該句為肯定句,而so…as…

I need one twice as long (as this stick). 10.B 11.C make sense“有意義”。 14.A find

、oneself doing sth. 15.C “can't… too+形容詞或副詞”意為“越…… 16.C 由第二段的第一句“The book,which is…” 17.A who引導(dǎo)定語從句修飾some young people,who作從句的主語。 desc

be based on意為“以…… 22.C 由第三段中的“how many of these employed college graduates are leading a happy life”可知,截至9月1日,611萬大學(xué)畢業(yè)生中74%的畢業(yè)

a large number of表示“許多”,修飾可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù),故D項(xiàng)正確。dea

、l的用法為a great/good deal of,表示“許多”,修飾不可數(shù)名詞;plenty不與冠詞連用,plenty of表示“許多”;a large amount of表示“許多”,修飾不可數(shù)名詞。 32.A 由下文“but has become a home for more than 50,0
