一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)與要求
1. 知識與能力目標(biāo)
(1)能夠聽說讀寫單詞和短語:fire, hear, ride a bike。能夠聽說認(rèn)讀單詞 inside, safe
(2)能夠聽說認(rèn)讀的句子It could hear the people. 能夠聽說的句子She couldn’t speak then.
2. 情感態(tài)度目標(biāo)
幫助學(xué)生了解動物對人類的幫助,人們應(yīng)
2、該善待動物,和動物做朋友。
二、教學(xué)重點(diǎn)及難點(diǎn)
掌握can,can’t 的一般過去式形式,并能在真實(shí)情景中運(yùn)用。
三、課前準(zhǔn)備:多媒體課件、單詞卡片、圖片
四、教學(xué)過程
Step 1 Warm up
1. 教師出示一張F(tuán)ifi 的圖片。
T: What can Fifi do? What can’t Fifi do?
Ss: Fifi can… Fifi can’t…
2. 教師出示一張F(tuán)ifi 一年前的圖片。
T: What could Fifi do then? What couldn’t Fifi do then?
Help Ss learn “ could, c
3、ouldn’t’t”.
結(jié)合圖片引導(dǎo)學(xué)生理解could,couldn’t是 can , can’t 的過去式。
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1. T: Some special dogs can help people do lot of things. Who need a special dog?
Ss:The blind people need a special dog.
The policemen …
T: The firemen also need a special dog.
教師出示消防員的照片,學(xué)習(xí)單詞 fire, fi

2. 教師出示課文第一幅插圖,讓學(xué)生觀察并回答:
What could the firemen do? What couldn’t they do?
Ss: The firemen could… They couldn’t…
3. Learn the passage.
(1) T: The firemen had a special dog. What could it do?
Listen to the tape and answer.
Ss: The dog could hear the people. 板書并學(xué)習(xí)句子。
(2) Read and talk
5、 in groups.
Where were the people?
Were they safe?
學(xué)習(xí)單詞 inside, safe
(3) Listen and repeat.
(4) Find the sentences with “ could, couldn’t’t”.
(5) Activity book.
Step 3 Consolidation and extension

(1) Show 2 photos of Sarah.
T: Look at this photo; she is 8 years old now.

學(xué)習(xí)比較單詞 then, now
(2) T: What couldn’t she do then?
Ss: She couldn’t speak then.
T: What can she do now?
Ss: She can speak now.
(3) 仿照老師的例子,小組討論其他幾幅圖片。

2. Guessing game.
Which dog is it?
出示Fifi 和導(dǎo)盲犬的照片。找一個(gè)同學(xué)到前面來,老師出示其中一幅圖,其他同學(xué)對這只小狗進(jìn)行
7、描述,幫助這個(gè)同學(xué)來猜。
例如:
S1: This dog can eat.
S2: This dog can’t help people.
S3: This dog can play balls.
….

小組討論,盡可能多的說出這兩只小狗能做和不能做的事情,形成小語篇進(jìn)行介紹。
Step 4 Summary
引導(dǎo)學(xué)生總結(jié)本節(jié)課所學(xué)內(nèi)容,強(qiáng)調(diào)can, can’t 和could, couldn’t的區(qū)分。幫助學(xué)生感受動物對人的幫助,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生熱愛動物,和動物做朋友。
