Step 1 Warm up
為了讓學(xué)生盡快進(jìn)入學(xué)習(xí)本模塊的狀態(tài),教師在課前播放歌曲:Hero
Step 2 Present (Activity 1)
讓學(xué)生討論:Who is your hero? (出示鄧亞萍圖片)Who is the person? Why is she famous? 學(xué)生兩人一組活動,補(bǔ)充和交流信息。
Step 3 Listen (Activity 2)
在開展聽力活動之前,教師可先引導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)會通過who, whe
2、re, what等引導(dǎo)的問題預(yù)測聽力內(nèi)容。
Ask students to read the questions and choose the correct answers. Play the recording a second time if necessary.
Step 4 Listen and read (Activities 3, 4, 5)
本活動有兩個(gè)目的:一是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生聽錄音獲取細(xì)節(jié)信息的能力;二是在對話中呈現(xiàn)原因、結(jié)果狀語從句等語言知識。學(xué)生在初次聽錄音時(shí)填寫信息表是有一定困難的,所以要增設(shè)聽力訓(xùn)練(詳見素材四)。

3、udents read the passage, ask them to tell you three facts that they know about Deng Yaping.Write their ideas on the blackboard.
●Ask students to close their books. Play the recording and check their three facts.
●Tell the students to cover the passage and complete the table from memory.

Activity 5:
●Tell students to look at the words in the box and tell you which can change form (attend, clever).
●Ask students to complete the passage with the correct form of the words.

本活動語音訓(xùn)練的重點(diǎn)是訓(xùn)練學(xué)生在朗讀復(fù)合句時(shí)根據(jù)句子意思做適當(dāng)?shù)耐nD。具體操作:
●教師播放錄音,學(xué)生根據(jù)錄音,標(biāo)記句子中停頓的位置。(Play the recording for students to listen to and mark the pauses.)
●再次播放錄音,全班跟讀。(Play the recording again for students to listen to and repeat.)
Step 6 Work in pairs (Activity 7)
本活動要求學(xué)生運(yùn)用所學(xué)的狀語從句
6、談?wù)撔哪恐械挠⑿?。學(xué)生兩人一組,進(jìn)行問答練習(xí)。教師可提供更多的對話示范。如:

—I want to be a scientist because I like science.
—Who is your hero?

教師讓部分學(xué)生向全班同學(xué)匯報(bào)同伴心目中的英雄,全班投票,選出大家最為敬仰的英雄。
