Words1. Teach the new words and phrases in the lesson with the Chinese explanation and exact pronunciation.2. Show the Chinese meanings to let student answer English correspondents.3. Show pictures related to the difficult words and phrases to facilitate students perception.4. Encourage students to make up English sentences with the new learned words.5. Language points1. 這句話(huà)的主語(yǔ)是動(dòng)名詞短語(yǔ)looking after us。單個(gè)v-ing形式短語(yǔ)在句中作主語(yǔ)時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞要用單數(shù)。句中more than表示“不只是，多于”。2. whats more表示遞進(jìn)，“然而/還有 ”的意思，獨(dú)立使用，既可以放句首，也可以放句中，whats more后面加逗號(hào)。 3. generally speaking表示“一般而言，總的說(shuō)來(lái)”。in general也可以表達(dá)同樣的意思。4. get married意為“結(jié)婚”，表示短暫行為，不能與表示一段時(shí)間的狀語(yǔ)連用。表示結(jié)婚多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，要用be married。Step5. Writing1. Write a passage about the advantages and disadvantages of life today.2. Choose two or three points from the notes in Activity 2 to write about.3. Give examples or reasons to support those points.4. For each of the points you choose, write about an advantage and/or a disadvantage. Use the words however, but, although or used to where appropriate.5. Finish the passage with the conclusion.6. Present outstanding passage to the class.Step6. Summary1. Summarize the new learned phrases and sentence patterns.2. Let students spend 2 minutes testing their vocabulary through the bilateral translation between English and Chinese.3.
