2019-2020年九年級英語全冊 Unit 2 I used to be afraid of the dark(第2課時)教案 人教新目標版 單元題目:Unit 2 I used to be afraid of dark 聽說課 Section A (1a-1c) Learning goals: Talk about what you used to be with such patterns as he\she used to be……Now he\she is……Learn some new words that can describe people then try to describe them by using the structure of used to be. Such topic reminds students of the days of their childhood. It is helpful to raise learning interest of students and students are sure to be active in all the activities in this unit. Step one :Presentation and prevision Let students show the language items and questions that they meet during their prevision. New words: appearance , personality Phrases: used to be , used to do Questions: how to describe the people who have changed a lot (設計目的:通過學生展示預習的成果可以了解學生對如何描寫人物的掌握程度,一方面復習學過的內容,另一方面可以使學生思考并討論遇到的問題,時間不需過多。) Step two: Leading in 1:How do we describe people? Look at those pictures, can you use the words to describe a person? (The activity introduces tile key vocabulary. Call students’ attention to the chart with the headlines Appearance and Personality.) 2:Show students some pictures about famous movies stars and then answer the questions . What did Li Xiang look like two years ago? What does she look like now? She used to be ______. Now she is _______. What did she look like over 20 years ago? What does she look like now? She used to have ______hair .Now she has ____hair. (設計目的:本環(huán)節(jié)先利用圖片引起學生興趣,并了解如何運用相關形容詞描述一個人過去和現(xiàn)在的對比變化,為下面環(huán)節(jié)展示appearance 和personality做好準備) Step three: Cooperation 1: Fill in the chart with words to describe people. Appearance外貌 Personality性格 tall outgoing straight hair funny beautiful shy medium height athletic heavy calm blonde hair serious fat easygoing Get students to fill in the chart individually. Check the answers by asking different students to read their lists to the class. Make sure that all the students understand what each word means. 2:Listening practice Bob is seeing some friends for the first time in four years. What did his friends use to look like? Listening for the general idea and fill in the blanks. 1: Mario used to be _____.He used to wear _____. 2: Amy used to be _____.She used to have _____. 3: Tina used to have ____and _____hair. (設計目的:本環(huán)節(jié)是聽力部分,分為兩個相互結合小環(huán)節(jié),第一遍是學生了解大意,填寫單詞,再一遍的時候補全對話,并復述,是聽力和口語相結合的環(huán)節(jié)) Step four: Consolation 1:Look at the picture above and make conversations with your partner. The activity gives students practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation. Write two dates side by side on the blackboard. The first is today’s date, including the year, and the second is the same day, but ten years ago. Ask a student to stand up. Use words or phrases to describe that student now.
