Module 2 Public holidays [狀語從句(1)——時間狀語從句] 1．When it is all over, everyone helps wash the dishes. 當(dāng)一切都結(jié)束時，大家都幫著洗餐具。 2．While were staying with our friends, were going to spend one day in Qingdao. 當(dāng)我們和朋友們待在一起的時候，我們打算在青島度過一天的時間。 3．Before we begin dinner, my father gives thanks for the food. 在我們開始晚餐之前，我父親為食物而感恩。 4．And my family always go somewhere interesting as soon as the holiday begins. 而且假期一開始，我們?nèi)铱偸侨ツ硞€好玩的地方。 5．…and well stay there until the end of the holiday. ……而且我們會待在那里，一直到假期結(jié)束。 6．We have celebrated the festival since the first pioneers from England arrived in America. 自首批英格蘭的拓荒者們抵達(dá)美洲大陸以來，我們就一直慶祝這個節(jié)日。 一、when引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句 when意為“____________”，既可指時間段，也可指時間點(diǎn)；從句中既可用延續(xù)性動詞，又可用非延續(xù)性動詞，且動作既可和主句的動作同時發(fā)生，也可在主句的動作之前或之后發(fā)生。when有時還表示“就在那時”。 When she came in, I was eating. 當(dāng)她進(jìn)來時，我正在吃東西。 When I lived in the countryside, I used to carry water for him. 當(dāng)我住在農(nóng)村時，我常常為他擔(dān)水。 二、while引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句 while意為“____________”，引導(dǎo)的從句的謂語動詞必須是延續(xù)性的，并強(qiáng)調(diào)主句和從句的動作同時發(fā)生(或者相對應(yīng))，while有時還可以表示對比。 I like playing football while he likes playing basketball. 我喜歡踢足球，而他喜歡打籃球。 三、before/after引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句 1．before意為“____________”，引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句時，表示主句的動作發(fā)生在從句動作之前。 See me before you leave.在你離開之前來見我。 2．a(chǎn)fter意為“____________”，引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句時，表示主句的動作發(fā)生在從句動作之后。 I saw them after I arrived. 抵達(dá)之后，我見到了他們。 四、as soon as引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句 as soon as 意為“____________”。如果主句用一般將來時、含有情態(tài)動詞或祈使句，從句用一般現(xiàn)在時表示將來。 Ill tell him the news as soon as he comes. 他一來我就告訴他這個消息。 五、until引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句 1．在until引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句中，如果主句的謂語動詞是延續(xù)性動詞，那么主句常常用肯定式，表示動作一直延續(xù)到until所表示的時間為止。until意為“____________”。 Ill work until he tells me to stop. 我會一直工作到他叫我停下來為止。 2．在until引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句中，如果主句的謂語動詞是非延續(xù)性動詞，那么主句常常用否定式，表示某一動作到until所表示的時間才發(fā)生。not…until…意為“____________”。 She didnt go to bed until she finished her homework. 她直到做完作業(yè)才去睡覺。 六、since引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句 since意為“____________”，其引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句主要有兩種結(jié)構(gòu)： 1．主句(現(xiàn)在完成時)＋since時間狀語從句(一般過去時) He hasnt been home since he graduated. 他畢業(yè)后沒回過家。 2．It is＋一段時間＋since時間狀語從句 It is two years since I became a postgraduate student. 我成為研究生已經(jīng)有兩年了。 Ⅰ.單項(xiàng)選擇 (　　)1.xx齊齊哈爾 I was writing a letter ________ she was making a telephone call.
