111 Module 5 The Great Sports Personality教學案例 The second period Reading 學情分析 學生大部分來自農(nóng)村,英語水平參差不齊。學習中習慣于被動的接受教學知識,對用英語進行思維的能力及綜合運用英語的能力較差。大部分學生比較內(nèi)向,缺乏合作,互助意識。另一方面,學生中不乏學習積極性較高及思維活躍者,可塑性較強。因此調(diào)動學生的學習興趣,并引導學生進行扎實有效的聯(lián)系是課堂的關(guān)鍵。 教材分析 本課是高二必修5第五模塊里的第二課時,屬閱讀課型。本課向我們介紹了我國著名體育明星李寧及他的成功事跡,讓學生在領(lǐng)會文章的基礎(chǔ)上,認真領(lǐng)悟文章的弦外之音,即:我們應該勇敢面對失敗,不能氣餒,要振作精神以取得更大成功。 教學目標 1. 知識目標:學會如何介紹體育運動和體壇名人。 2. 能力目標:通過對本課的學習,提高學生的閱讀能力;發(fā)展學生獲取信息,處理信息,分析問題,解決問題的能力以及用英語進行思維與表達的能力;激起學生積極的情緒體驗,培養(yǎng)學生健全的情感態(tài)度。 3. 情感目標:通過學習本文,讓學生在領(lǐng)會文章基礎(chǔ)上,領(lǐng)悟艱辛奮斗才能獲得成功的道理,從而培養(yǎng)克服困難的堅強意志,發(fā)掘追求成功的源動力。 教學重點和難點 1. 理解文章,找出段落和文章的從屬關(guān)系。 2. 培養(yǎng)閱讀時的聯(lián)想、理解、前后聯(lián)系的能力和邏輯分析能力。 3. 閱讀的同時也培養(yǎng)學生運用所學的詞匯進行語言交際的能力。 教學策略 采用多媒體的教學手段,力求是教學生動活潑,做到既能激發(fā)學生的學習興趣,又能提高教學效果:通過任務型教學途徑和體驗,實踐,合作交流的學習方式,發(fā)展學生的綜合語言運用能力。 Teaching procedures 教學過程 Step1Pre-reading Leading in A. What sports do you like most? Show the students some pictures of sportsmen and ask them; Who the people are and which sports they play. S1:His name is Li Ning. He is giving his gymnastic performance. S2:The name of this gymnastics he is doing is side horse. S3:He was called the prince of gymnasts. T: Yes, He is Li Ning, a famous gymnast .Now we are going to study a passage about him and his life in sport. The students are required to read the passage as quickly as possible to find the answers to the following questions. 1.Why did Li Ning start a sports wear company? 2.Why has he been successful? Key: 1.Because he didn’t forget his sporting background and wanted to compete with global giants like Nike and Adidas. 2.Because his sports clothes came onto the market at just the right time and Li Ning’s designs were attractive but comparatively cheaper. B. Look at the advertisement of Li Ning product and ask: 1.What are the two pinyin letters that the bright red logo is made up of? 2.What does it mean? Key: 1.It is made up of the first to pinyin letters of Li Ning’s name, L and N. 2.It means anything is possible. C. Listen to the tape.
