8、it was too late to change his mind. 他認為改變主意為時已晚。 I shall suppose him to be about fifty. 我認為他有50歲左右。 這個詞常用被動結(jié)構(gòu)be supposed to 意為被期望或要求應該(出于習俗的原因或職責的原因) Is he supposed to clean the outside of the windows or only the inside? 他應該把窗戶外面擦干凈,還是只擦窗戶里面就可以呢? He is supposed

9、to arrive on the five o’clock train. 他理應乘五點的火車到。 這個句型的否定結(jié)構(gòu)為be not supposed to 常用于口語中,意為“不被許可”“不應當” You are not supposed to do that. 你不應當做那種事情。 二. You should have asked what you were supposed to wear. 情態(tài)動詞有時和動詞的完成式構(gòu)成謂語,表示“應當已經(jīng)”,“想必已經(jīng)”這類意思。 I should have thought of th

11、 used to eating with chopsticks and a spoon, … 那么,它們的區(qū)別是什么呢? 1. used to表示“過去如此,現(xiàn)在不這樣了”。后面接動詞原形。 He used to play basketball when he was young. 他年輕時常打籃球。 2. be used to 是“習慣于”某一客觀事實或狀態(tài)。 不強調(diào)動作,to是介詞,后面接名詞或動名詞。 如:I am used to the weather here. 我已經(jīng)習慣這里的天氣了。 3. get
