Unit 6 The Animal Kingdom Lesson 18 An Animal Story ◆ 教材分析 本課是北師大版《初中英語》七年級下冊教材第6單元第18課，話題為動(dòng)物。第三單元的前兩課學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容包括如何介紹我最喜歡的動(dòng)物和如何描述有趣的動(dòng)物。本課學(xué)習(xí)一篇有關(guān)人和動(dòng)物的感人故事，為最終進(jìn)行本單元的綜合語言輸出奠定必要的語言基礎(chǔ)。 本節(jié)課的教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)分為兩個(gè)課時(shí)。第一課時(shí)側(cè)重對閱讀文章的理解，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過閱讀提取有關(guān)John、Anthony和獅子Christian之間感人故事的具體事實(shí)。在閱讀活動(dòng)中，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生提取故事發(fā)展的主線信息和細(xì)節(jié)信息，在讀前、讀中理解與話題相關(guān)的詞匯，在語篇中關(guān)注方式副詞的表意功能，最后結(jié)合課文信息和語言信息進(jìn)行輸出性活動(dòng)。 第二課時(shí)在復(fù)習(xí)有關(guān)獅子的感人故事和鞏固相關(guān)語言的基礎(chǔ)上，引入本課的語法功能——方式副詞，學(xué)習(xí)其基本結(jié)構(gòu)和語用功能。在語境中進(jìn)行多層面的練習(xí)，最后運(yùn)用方式副詞寫一篇有關(guān)動(dòng)物的小故事。 ◆ 教學(xué)目標(biāo) 【知識與能力目標(biāo)】 1. Warm-up T shows the four photos of the animals to ask Ss to name the animals and tell where they are from. T shows the photos of another three animals to help Ss know about more animals and the places they are from. T shows a photo of a baby lion to elicit the words and phrases “cute, grow become strong, become dangerous”. Step 2. Pre-reading T shows the photo of John, Anthony and Christian to encourage Ss to predict the story. T asks Ss to ask and answer Step 3. Reading 1. Reading Ss read the story and check their prediction. 2. Reading T asks Ss to complete the story with the key words from the box. Ss check the answers in pairs. T helps Ss to reason their answers according to the clue in the passage. 3. Reading T guides Ss to know about the main idea of each paragraph by completing the sentences. 1stPara. Ss read the first paragraph and complete the table by underlining the key words on their books. 2ndPara. Ss read the second paragraph and answer:Why did they take the lion to Africa?Was Christian dangerous to them?How did Christian live with them?Was it easy for Christian to live in Africa at first? 4. Ss read the third paragraph and fill in the table about what happened before and when they met. At the same time, T guides Ss to guess the meaning of the new words recogniseandbelievefrom the context. 4thPara. Ss read the last paragraph and answer:Who was Christian with?What did Christian do to them?How did John and Anthony feel when they left Christian? Step 4.Talking Ask: What did they do to look after Christian? Ask the students to work in pairs. Step 5 Work in pairs: Make up their own dialogues about their past life.
