I don’t think she really cares what we’ll give her. 我認(rèn)為她不真正關(guān)心我們送給她什么。 care在這里是 “在乎,關(guān)心”,例如: I don’t care where she will go. 我不在乎她會去什么地方. 常用詞組有: care for 表示喜歡,例如: I don’t care for it; besides, it’s too dear. 我并不喜歡這東西,再說價錢也太貴了 care to do 想要 He doesn’t care to tell us the truth. 他不想告訴我們事實。 2. In the old days, workers had time off from work to visit their mothers. 過去,工人們放假去看望他們的母親。 off在這里的意思為“不工作(不上班)、休息(假)”的意思, 例 I’m off from work today , because I’m not feeling well . 我今天不上班,因為我感覺不舒服。 3. Mother’s Day started quite differently from the way it started in Britain. (美國)母親節(jié)的起源與英國母親節(jié)的起源很不相同 way 在這里的意思為 “方式,樣子;態(tài)度”.例如: I know the American ways of doing things. 我曉得美國的做事方式。 4.
