News from the People’s Daily:Owing to people’s activities in the earth,the amount of carbon dioxide in the atomosphere is increasing and this leads to so-called greenhouse effect,that is,the temperature of the air is rising.Some icebergs in Antarctic and in the Arctic Ocean are melting and collapsing.An unexpected snow fell in Europe this August,and this has never happened before at this time of year.And worse still,the hole of Ozonophere over Antarctic is becoming larger day by day. From the above we can see that protecting the environment is not only a must for our life,but also a life and death problem for our existence. Please think of the following two questions： 1.Is pollution serious in China judging from the surroundings in your community? 2.Some people are making an urgent appeal “serving our earth”.Why?
