2019-2020年北師大版高中英語必修1 Unit 2《Heroes》（Lesson 2）word教案 Topic Unit2 Heroes Lesson2 History Maakers Content Students will 1. learn and use the listening strategies: Getting prepared for listening. 2. listen to a radio program to get the specific information about Martin Luther King. 3. practise expressing views using the Function File. 4. discuss what the similarities and the differences between heroes and history makers. Learner outcomes The students will be able to 1. get specific information about Martin Luther King. 2. know one of listening stratigies: Getting prepared for listening. 3. express their views on the hero they choose. Materials Pictures, Recorder Activities Brainstorm the famous people discussion Teaching procedures Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Teaching purpose Step 1 Warming up 1. Show the pictures to the students and ask them to name them and say what they know about them 2. Ask the students to discuss the differences and similarities between heroes and history makers. 3.Ask the students to read the descriptions in Exercise1 and match them with the photos to get the exact information about each person. 1. Look at the pictures and name the famous people to say what they know about them. 2. Discuss the differences and similarities between heroes and history makers. 3. Read the descriptions in Exercise1 and match them with the photos. To lead into the topic and arouse their interest. Step 2 Function File 1. Direct the students to read the key words on expressing opinions and make sure they know the meaning of each word. 2. Play the tape for the students to listen to get the key words and fill in the blanks. 1. Read the key words and learn that they are used to express opinions. 2. Listen to students talking about the people in the photos and fill in the blanks. To get the students to know how to express opinions by using these words. To get more information about people in the photos. Step 3 Pre-listening 1. Read through the listening strategies with the whole class and ask if they have ever used them before. 2. Ask the students to learn the key words in exercise3. 3. Tell them they will listen to a radio program about Martin Luther King and ask them to predict what they will hear about him. 1. Learn the listening strategies: Getting prepared for listening and recall whether they have ever used them before. 2. Learn the meaning and pronunciation of the key words by using the vacabulary list. 3.Predict what they will hear about Martin Luther King. To learn the listening strategies. To use the listening strategies to prepare for the radio program. Step 4 While-listening 1. Play the tape for the students to listen. 2. Give examples to help the students to know the stressed words in a sentence. 3. Ask four of them to imitate the sentences in the front. Task1: 1. Read the sentences in exercise 4 and undetrstand the task: Is the sentences True or False? 2. Listen to the tape, get the general idea about Martin Luther King and finish listening exercise. Task2: 1. Learn the stessed words in a sentence. 2. Read the first sentence in Ex 6 and feel the stressed words in it. 3. Listen to the sentences and underline the stressed words. 4. Ask the students to choose one paragraph about the heroes to read and then ask and answer the questions in pairs. 2. Give an example to direct the students to introduce what they have learned from the heros to the partner, using expressions from the function File. 3.
