He and a friend decided to host a musical concert... Not knowing where to turn for money可知,由于學費不夠,他和朋友決定舉辦音樂會來籌集學費。 3.A reach out to意為“表示對……

故選A項。 忌装裻urn to“求助于”和turn out to“證明是;結果是”以及reach out to“表示對……

故選A項。

They promised to honor the check at the ________ possible. Paderewski tor

、e up the check及空后的told the two boys to keep the money they needed for the fees可知,鋼琴家撕毀了支票,并且還把1,600美元還給了(returned)他們讓他們當做學費。

mark...out as意為“使…… And ________ of us only think“If I help them, what will happen to me?”

故選A項。deal with意為“處理;處置”;adapt to意為“適應”;think of意為“想起;想到”。 19.B 根據上文的“If I dont help them, what will happen to them?”

故選A項。 This morning I lost my MP3 player on my way to school. It was bought with the money I had been saved for months. Too upset was I that I could hardly concentrate in what the teacher was saying. After class, my

、nd asked or not I had lost something. It turned out that my MP3 player slipped out of my while I was walking. fortunately, a young lady behind me noticed it. She found the school guard and gave to him. How excited and how moved I was to get my MP3 player back! I want to be kind person

、like the lady. 賓語從句可用if/whether “是否”來引導,但whether可與or not連用,if則不可,故應將if改為whether。
