Know more about the occupation in foreign countries. 2. Create the students’ interests of foreign songs. Teaching Important Points: 1. Learn to sing the song. 2. Know the features of different jobs. Teaching Difficult Points: The features of different jobs Teaching Preparation: pictures of different jobs Teaching Aids: audiotape, flashcards, pictures Type of lesson: new lesson Teaching Procedure: Step1. Lead in by discussing the following question: what do you need if you want to make your dream e true. Discuss in groups for five minutes. Then let some students present their reports in front of the class. Step2. Listen to the tape for two times. At the same time, let them sing after it in low voice. Step3. Read the text as a poem. Pay attention to the rhythms of it. Step4. Change the song by adding new opportunities. Let the students make up new words by themselves. Step5. Listen to the song again. Let them sing after it for several times. Step6. Ask the class to sing together loudly. Step7. e to “LET’S DO IT”. Work with your partner to finish the task. You read an ad in a newspaper about a job you want. You want to get the job, so you make a telephone call to the employer and try to get the job. Make up a dialogue and act it out. The students may be familiar to the features of the job. Step8. Homework 1. Finish off the exercises in the activity book. 2. Go on the next reading in the student book. Summary: Songs are main part in this book. Learning to sing is important. It can improve the students’ interests of learning English.
