And what a (wonderful/beautiful) ride (it was)! 這是一個省略式的感嘆句。感嘆句常用what或how引導,具體結構如下: (1) what (+ a / an) + adj. +n. (+主語+謂語); (2) how + adj. (+ a / an)+ n. (+主語+謂語); (3) how + adj. / adv. + (+主語+謂語). 2. We ate great meals (which were) cooked by experts. 該句中,cooked by experts 為過去分詞短語作定語。過去分詞短語作定語,通常置于被修飾詞之后,分詞所表示的動作與被修飾詞之間存在著邏輯上的被動關系,且表示該動作已經(jīng)完成,可轉換成定語從句。 3. We saw abandoned farms which were built more than a hundred years ago. 單個的過去分詞作定語,??芍糜诒恍揎椩~之前或之后。 4. a way to do sth. a way of doing sth. 5. try doing sth. try to do sth. 6. be short for是…的縮寫,簡稱 for short 簡稱,縮寫 e.g. Tom is short for Thomas. My name is Thomas. You can call me Tom for short. 7. Camels were much better than horses for travelling a long distance. much用來修飾比較級,表示程度的加深。在形容詞前可以用:much, a little, a bit, a lot, rather, no, any, (very) much, far, even, still, yet等副詞來修飾。 8. not…any more (時間上的)不再,相當于not…any longer. 9. allow doing sth allow sb. to do sth.→sb. be allowed to do sth. 四.合作探究 1.
