7、The special use of the infinitive ①一般只接動(dòng)詞不定式作賓語的常用動(dòng)詞有:afford, agree, arrange, choose, decide, demand, hope, learn, long, manage, offer, pretend, promise, refuse, want, be determined, be meant, be intended, etc ②后接疑問詞+不定式(what to do, when to do…)作賓語的常用動(dòng)詞有:decide, find out, forget, know, learn, reme

8、mber, understand, wonder, etc ③接不定式作賓語補(bǔ)足語的常用動(dòng)詞有:advise, cause, allow, ask, beg, drive, encourage, expect, forbid, force, get, invite, permit, persuade, remind, teach, tell, worn, want, etc ④接不帶to的動(dòng)詞不定式作賓語補(bǔ)足語的常用詞為感官動(dòng)詞:see, hear, feel, watch, notice, observe, listen to, etc. 和使役動(dòng)詞:have, let, make.但被

9、動(dòng)語態(tài)后的主語補(bǔ)足語則應(yīng)帶上to . ⑤一般只能接不帶to的短語有:had better, would rather, why not, etc 七.Teaching procedures Step I Self-directed study 1. Memorize the important sentences in this unit. 2. Students are asked to fill in the form of the basic structure of the infinitive, and finish the sentences according t

10、o the Chinese meaning. Step II Cooperative study Discuss which element the infinitive acted as in the given sentences. Then conclude the basic use of the infinitive. Step III Feedback Have some students show their answers on the blackboard and every group should give their conclusion of the

11、basic use of the infinitive in a sentence. Step IV Explaining specifically The teacher will stress some mistakes the students have made and give several important points of the special use of the infinitive which need memorizing by all the students. Step V Consolidation and practice Make a
