教材分析
本課是第16單元的第2課。本課的聽力材料是三位學(xué)生講述他們名字的故事。學(xué)生將在本課學(xué)習(xí)如何簡單講述名字的故事,并實際口頭練習(xí)。此后使用聽力策略,聽取并記錄信息,復(fù)述他人名字故事。聽說練習(xí)之后,結(jié)合文化廣角的英文姓氏的起源,話題進(jìn)一步深入,學(xué)生通過對比東西方人名,了解其所承載的不同文化。
話題對于學(xué)生來說很熟悉因而沒有難度。重點是學(xué)生能夠準(zhǔn)確的獲取信息并流暢的復(fù)述。話題的另外一個特點則是文化意義很強,因此特別結(jié)合教材以及教參的補充內(nèi)容在文化上深度挖掘。語言上難度也適中因此要求
2、學(xué)生說與寫上輸出量很大。
本課計劃按兩課時完成:第一課時重點是聽力訓(xùn)練,讓學(xué)生聽懂有關(guān)解釋名字意思的故事并通過關(guān)鍵詞抓住重點。第二課時閱讀英文姓氏的起源,討論中西名字中的不同文化,并選擇一個感興趣的名字寫出其中的故事。

Western Names
Apart from their surname or last name or family name in Britain or the US, most British and American children are given two p
13、ersonal names by their parents, a first name and a middle name. These names are sometimes called Christian names or given names. Some people have only one given name, a few have three or more.
Parents usually decide on given names for their children before they are born. In some families the old
14、est boy is given the same name as his father. In the US the word junior or senior, or a number, is added after the name and surname to make it clear which person is being referred to.
Many popular names e from the Bible, e.g. Jacob, Joshua and Matthew, Mary, Rebecca and Sarah, though this does not
15、 imply that the people who choose them are religious. Other people give their children the name of somebody they admire, such as a famous sports personality, or a film or pop star. In Britain the names William and Harry have bee mon again since the sons of Prince Charles were given these names.
