7、1 句意翻譯法 對于狀語從句的解答來說,最重要的一點是能夠正確地翻譯句子的意思,這樣就能夠判斷出該從句是狀語從句中的哪一種,選擇也就很容易了。 典例1 they decide which college to go to,students should research the admission procedures. A.As B.While C.Until D.Once 分析 句意為:一旦學生們決定了要上哪所大學,他們就應該研究申請此大學的入學程序了。as當……時,由于;while當……時,盡管;until直到;once一旦。根據(jù)句意可知選擇D項。 方法
8、2 分清句子類型法 對于一些試題來說,掌握和分清一些固定的句型結構是很重要的。同時也要注意該從句與其他一些從句的區(qū)別,如地點狀語從句和定語從句、結果狀語從句和定語從句等。 典例2 John thinks it won’t be long he is ready for his new job. A.when B.after C.before D.since 分析 所填詞引導時間狀語從句,構成It won’t be long before...句型,意思是:過不了多久就……,故選C。 考點1 并列連詞 1.He is a shy man,

10、系。應用“祈使句+and+陳述句”,故選C。 考點歸納 (一)并列連詞 1.表示并列、順承關系的并列連詞有and。 2.表示轉折關系常用的并列連詞有but,yet(然而),whereas(然而,但是),while(然而)等。 3.表示因果關系的并列連詞有for,so等。 4.表示選擇關系常用的并列連詞有or,either...or...,not...but...,neither...nor...等。 (二)特殊句型 1.祈使句+and+陳述句=If ...,+主句。 2.祈使句+or/otherwise+陳述句=If ...not ...,+主句。 考點2 時間狀語從句

13、她聽說有家慈善機構提供小額貸款給自主創(chuàng)業(yè)的女性。until直到……才,引導時間狀語從句。 考點歸納 (一)when,while,as的用法與表示“一……就……”的常用表達 1.when,while,as (1)when既可引導一個持續(xù)性動作,也可引導一個短暫動作,可用于主句和從句動作同時發(fā)生或從句動作先于主句動作。 (2)從屬連詞while引導的動作必須是持續(xù)性的,側重主句動作和從句動作相對比。 (3)從屬連詞as可表示從句和主句的兩個動作交替進行或同時完成,可譯為“一邊……,一邊……”或“隨著……”。 It was the middle of the night when my
14、 father woke me up and told me to watch the football game. 當我的父親把我叫醒并告訴我看足球賽的時候,那時是半夜。 拓展 when的特殊用法 1.when意為“正在這時”,表示某件事正在發(fā)生或剛剛發(fā)生時,突然發(fā)生另一動作。常見句型有: I was about to go to your home to help you with your English when my uncle came. 我正要去你家?guī)椭銓W英語,這時我叔叔來了。 2.when還可表原因,意為“既然”。 When you knew his age
15、,you shouldn’t have allowed him to do it. 既然你知道他的年齡,那你不該允許他做這件事。 2.表示“一……就……”的常用表達 (1)as soon as,immediately,directly,instantly,the moment,the minute,the instant,no sooner...than...,hardly/scarcely...when...等引導的從句都表示從句的動作一發(fā)生,主句的動作隨即就發(fā)生, 常譯為“一……就……”。 The moment they heard the shout for help,they
16、rushed out.他們一聽到呼救聲就沖了出去。 (2)no sooner ...than ...,hardly/scarcely...when...的時態(tài)搭配:no sooner與hardly/scarcely后的句子謂語動詞應用過去完成時,而than與when引導的句子謂語動詞應用一般過去時。此外,當把no sooner和hardly/scarcely提到句首時,應用部分倒裝語序。 (二)before與since 1.before表示“還未……就……;不到……就……;……才……;趁……;還沒來得及……就……,在……之前”。 2.It will be+一段時間+before ...
17、多久之后才……。 3.It won’t be long before...不久之后就……。 4.It was+一段時間+before...過了多久才……。 It was several days before I realized that David had lied to me. 幾天之后我才意識到大衛(wèi)對我撒謊了。(2018·蘇南四校聯(lián)考) 5.It is+一段時間+since...自從……多久了。 (三)其他連接詞 1.till,until與not ...until... (1)until或till表示“某動作一直延續(xù)到某時間點才停止”,此時主句謂語動詞是延續(xù)性動詞,主、
18、從句都為肯定式。這兩個詞可以換用,但till不可以置于句首,而until可以。 (2)not ...until...表示“某動作直到某時間才開始”,主句謂語動詞是非延續(xù)性動詞,從句為肯定式。 I won’t tell the student the answer to the math problem until he has been working on it for more than an hour.直到這個學生做這道數(shù)學題用了一個多小時的時間,我才會告訴他答案。 2.表示“每次;下一次……”等的常用表達 every time,each time,next time,the l
19、ast time,any time等名詞短語用來引導時間狀語從句,表示“每次……;下次……;上次……;任何時候……”等。 Next time you go shopping,buy a few extra fruits and vegetables. 下次你去買東西,多買點水果蔬菜。(2018·南京高三模擬) 考點3 讓步狀語從句 1. birds use their feathers for flight,some of their feathers are for other purposes. (2017·北京,25) A.Once B.If C.A

21、變了我們的生活,但并非它的所有影響都是積極正面的。while引導讓步狀語從句,意為“盡管,雖然”;since既然,自從;after在……之后;unless除非。故選C。 考點歸納 引導讓步狀語從句的連詞 1.although/though(盡管,雖然),even though/even if(即使),都可以與yet,still或nevertheless連用,但不能和but連用。當as或though引導的讓步狀語從句放在主句之前時,常用倒裝語序,此時從句中的表語、狀語或動詞原形置于句首。若表語是單數(shù)名詞,前置時要省略冠詞。 Although/Though he may be trouble

23、的事情,無論他生活中的時間安排得有多滿。 3.as引導讓步狀語從句時要用倒裝語序;though引導時則可用倒裝語序也可用自然語序。 4.從屬連詞while,when也可以引導讓步狀語從句,意為“雖然,盡管”。 考點4 條件狀語從句 1.I believe you will have a wonderful time here you get to know everyone else. A.though B.as if C.once D.so that 答案 C 解析 句意為:一旦你認識了其他所有人,我相信你會在這兒有一段美好的時光。once一旦,符合
24、句意。 2.You won’t find paper cutting difficult you keep practicing it. A.even though B.as long as C.as if D.ever since 答案 B 解析 句意為:只要你堅持練習,你就不會覺得剪紙難了。 even though 即使;as long as只要;as if 仿佛,好像;ever since 自……以來。結合句意可知選B。 考點歸納 引導條件狀語從句的從屬連詞有:if,unless(=if ...not除非),so/as long as(只要),in
