Unit 8 Section A 1a—1c Ⅰ. 教學準備 1.教師: 錄音機、磁帶、多媒體課件, 以及一本帶有十二個月份的大掛歷和12張月份卡片。 2.學生: 復習基數詞的構成;調查了解同學、朋友或家人的生日。 Ⅱ. 教學目標 1.知識目標: (1)詞匯: when, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December (2)句型: —When is your birthday? —My birthday is on May 2nd. 2.能力目標: 通過本課學習, 讓學生掌握一些英語語言知識, 培養(yǎng)英語表達的能力。 3.情感目標: 增進同學之間的了解和友情, 學會在交流中關注他人的情感。 4.文化意識: 了解英語國家里人們的日常交際內容, 提高跨文化交際的能力。 Ⅲ. 教學重點 (1)詞匯: when, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December (2)句型: —When is your birthday? —My birthday is on May 2nd. Ⅳ. 教學難點 讓學生熟練運用When is your birthday? 和My birthday is...句型交流和表達信息。 Ⅴ. 教學步驟 Step 1: Lead-in 建議1: 在黑板上掛一幅能反映出十二個月份的掛歷, 或在課件中展示出一幅掛歷。教師介紹月份單詞并領讀;學生一邊觀看, 一邊跟讀。 For example: T: Class! Look at the calendar. How many months are there? Ss: Twelve. T: Can you read every month? Look at the first month. How to read? In this way, teach the students to read the words of each month. Ask the students to read after the teacher. 建議2: 教師詢問學生一年中有多少月份, 分別是哪些月份。出示月份卡片, 展示單詞并教讀, 讓學生邊看邊讀。 For example: T: Class! How many months are there in a year? Ss: There are twelve. T: What are they? Can you read them out? Then the teacher shows the cards of each month to the class. Let the students try to read the words. See if the students can read the words correctly. By this way, teach the words of twelve months. 建議3: 讓學生觀看一段月份的視頻動畫, 教師向學生提出要求——讓學生一邊觀看, 一邊注意十二個月份單詞的發(fā)音。 For example: T: Class! Let's watch a video. Ss: That's great! T: But I have a question for you. What's the video about? Then play the video for the class. Ss: It's about the twelve months. T: Can you read the twelve months? Next, show the words of twelve months. Teach the students to read the words. The students read after the teacher. Step 2: Listen and repeat 建議1: 教師讓學生聽1a的錄音磁帶, 一邊聽, 一邊注意十二個月份單詞的發(fā)音。然后跟讀錄音。 For example: T: Class! Let's read after the tape. Pay attention to the pronunciations of each month. Then the students read the words of each month while they are listening to the tape. Repeat this reading for two or three times. 建議2: 聽磁帶, 跟讀錄音后, 讓學生以小組為單位, 開展朗讀比賽??茨囊唤M讀得又對又快! 給讀得又對又快的小組發(fā)小紅旗、五角星等獎品。 T: Class! Let's have a reading competition among each group, OK? See which group can read the twelve months more correctly and more quickly! First let each group prepare it for several minutes, then start the competition. In the end, award the groups which did better. Step 3: Present 1b 建議: 教師讓學生聽1b中的對話錄音, 通過聽力訓練練習所學的十二個月份的單詞。 For example: T: Class! Can you read the twelve months? Now, let's have a test. Then get to 1b.Let the students listen and number the conversations. See if the students can catch the listening well. If they can't understand well, let the students listen again. Step 4: Task 建議1: 教師播放錄音, 先讓學生聽一遍, 不要跟讀, 注意單詞的發(fā)音, 句子的語調語氣。然后再播放一遍, 讓學生跟讀, 要求學生盡量模仿錄音中的語音、語調、語氣??梢宰寣W生跟讀兩遍或三遍。通過這種模仿跟讀, 讓學生糾正自己的錯誤發(fā)音, 學會運用正確的語調語氣。 For example: T: Class! Now let's listen to the tape. Just listen, don't follow! While listening, pay attention to the pronunciation, tones and intonation. Then play the tape again. Let the students listen and repeat. While listening, try to imitate the pronunciation, tones and intonation. 建議2: 教師找?guī)讉€學生朗讀這幾組對話, 可以找單個學生, 也可以兩人一組??纯磳W生的發(fā)音是否正確, 是否會使用恰當的語調語氣。 For example: T: Class! Can you read the dialogue? Let's have a reading competition, see who can read more correctly and more fluently. S1: When is your birthday, Linda? S2: My birthday is on May 2nd. S1: When is your birthday, Mary? S2: It's on January 5th. S1: When is your birthday, Mike? S2: My birthday is on June 3rd. Step 5: Practice the new sentences 建議: 讓學生兩人之間練習1b的三個對話, 以競賽的形式開展活動, 激發(fā)學生參與課堂活動的積極性。 For example: T: Class! Now, let's perform the dialogues in pairs, OK? Please prepare it for several minutes. Then I'll call you to act out. See which pair can perform best! A: When is your birthday, Linda? B: My birthday is on May 2nd. A: When is your birthday, Mary? B: It's on January 5th. A: When is your birthday, Mike? B: My birthday is on June 3rd. Step 6: Consolidation 建議: 讓學生兩人一組仿照1b內容, 使用自己的真實姓名, 編一個新對話并進行表演。 For example: T: Class! Can you make a new dialogue, using your real names? Ss: Yes. I can. The model is: S1: When is your birthday, S2? S2: My birthday is on...And when is your birthday? S1: It's on... Step 7: Task 建議: 讓學生在小組內進行調查采訪, 采訪調查組內成員的生日是什么時候, 然后找?guī)捉M學生在班內表演。 For example: T: Class! Now in your group, have an interview and make a survey. Ask each member of your group when his/her birthday is. Then I'll call some groups to perform your interview. S1: Hello, everyone. I'm a reporter. Can I ask you some questions? Ss: Sure. S1: When is your birthday, S2? S2: My birthday is on... S1: And when is your birthday, S3? S3: It's on... S1: When is your birthday, S4? S4: My birthday is on... Step 8: Summary 建議: 教師讓學生自己總結本節(jié)課所學的內容, 包括單詞、句型、語法。 For example: T: Class! Let's sum up what we have learned in this class. What words have we learned? What sentences have we learned? (1)單詞: when, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December (2)句型: —When is your birthday? —My birthday is on May 2nd. Step 9: Homework 1.課下, 讓學生兩人一組, 把1b中的對話再練習一遍: A: When is your birthday?
