For formal ones, invitations are usually sent to those who are invited from hosts. The mainly tell the receivers the kind of the party, when and where it will be.Step 2 Pre-taskWork on 2a1.Call attention to 2a.2.Ask students to write as many kinds of parties as possible.3.Ask students to show his or her list to the class. Then the others add more items on the basis of the list presented.4.Write down all the parties. Students think of on the board.Work on 2b1.Project some cards in and out of our country. Talk about them with students.2.Project these new words on the screen or write them on the board to teach the new words. Ask the students to repeat them over and over again. Make sure everyone knows their meanings.3.Read the instructions to the class. Give students 5minutes to read the messages. Ask students to put a mark in the contents that are unfamiliar to them. 5minutes later, ask a student to answer the question: Why did people write them? Then lead students to read the message. Explain the new words during the procedure. Pay attention to the key words and phrases.4.Students match the reason with the message.5.Check the answers.6.Practice reading.Step 3 While-taskWork on 2c&2d1.Make students read the messages again quickly.
