陳述語(yǔ)氣,表示所說(shuō)的話是事實(shí)。France lies in the west of Europe.
祈使語(yǔ)氣,表示所說(shuō)的話是請(qǐng)求或命令。Make yourself at home.
虛擬語(yǔ)氣,表示所說(shuō)的話只是一種主觀愿望、假想或建議等。Parents only wish their children could succeed.
Step 2: 虛擬語(yǔ)氣
★Subjunctive mood in wish-clauses
1)wish (that) +s + v-ed (were) I wish I were as young as you.
2)wis

3)wish that +s + would/ could/might do

★含蓄條件句(Implied condition)
不是用條件句而是由介詞短語(yǔ)(without…沒(méi)有……, but for…要不是…), 連詞(but 但是,or),副詞(otherwise 否則)等或上下文來(lái)表示某種假設(shè)的情況:

★錯(cuò)綜時(shí)間條件句:主句和從句的動(dòng)作不是發(fā)生在同一時(shí)間,其動(dòng)詞形式要根據(jù)時(shí)間而定。
如果他當(dāng)時(shí)聽(tīng)了我的話,現(xiàn)在就不會(huì)遇到麻煩了。
If he had listened to me, he would not be in such trouble now.
★虛擬語(yǔ)氣用在表示要求、建議、命令等的名詞從句中,從句謂語(yǔ)用 “(should+)原形動(dòng)詞”
(1) 用在動(dòng)詞insist (堅(jiān)持
7、),suggest (建議),order (命令),propose (建議),demand (要求),command(命令)等后面的賓語(yǔ)從句中。
He suggested that we ___________ (開(kāi)始) now.
如果上述動(dòng)詞不表示主張、建議等,而表示其他意義時(shí),仍用陳述語(yǔ)氣:
The expression on his face suggests that he _________ (知道) it.

(3)用在“It +be+natural (necessary, strange, important等,以及insisted, suggested, ordered等)+that…”結(jié)構(gòu)中的that引導(dǎo)的主語(yǔ)從句中:
你有必要參加會(huì)議。(seen on the paper)
