1、《Unit 9 How many?》第二課教案
Preparation
You will need:
flashcards for the numbers one through ten.
1.Review numbers
Student Book pages 26 and 27
Write the numerals 1 to 10 on the board. Leave room to write the names next to the numbers.
Point to each numeral in turn and say its name.
2、Have the children repeat each name after you.
Have the children look at the first picture on page 26. Ask, “How many birds are there?” Elicit the correct answer, “There are three.”
Have one child touch the matching number on the board. Write the word three next to the number 3.

3、he procedure for Pictures 3 and 4 on the same page, substituting eggs and flowers for birds, and eliciting the correct answers.
Repeat the procedure for Pictures 6 and 7.
Hold up four pens. Say, “Four.” Have the children repeat the word. Write four next to the number 4.

4、ure for one, two, seven, eight, and nine.
Say, “Now we can say all the numbers.” Go through the list of numbers on the board. Point to each number and its name. Say the word aloud and have the children repeat it.
2.Words to learn
Student Book page 28
Have the children open their books at
5、 “Words to learn” at the top of the page. Display your copy of the page.
Point to the number 1. Say, “One.” Then point to the word one and say it. Have the children repeat the word as they touch it in their books.
Repeat the procedure for the other numbers and their names.
As you pla
6、y the tape, have the children touch each number and the word below it.
Play the tape again without stopping. Have the children say the words along with the tape.
Introduce the flashcards for the numbers one through ten. As you show each flashcard, have the children write the matching n
7、umeral.
3.Listen to this
Student Book page 28
Have the children look at the two rows of pictures at the bottom of page 28. Display your copy of the page.
Point to the first group of objects. Say, “There are six cars.” Have the children repeat the sentence.
Repeat the procedure for th
8、e other groups of objects.
Now point to a group of objects and say, “How many (ducks) are there?” Try to elicit the correct answer, “There are (three ducks).”
Play the first sentence on the tape. Have the children touch the correct picture.
Repeat the procedure for the other sentences and
9、 pictures.
Play the tape again. This time, have the children number the box next to the picture.
4.Teach the song
Student Book page 29
Have the children turn to page 29. Say, “We are going to learn a song about numbers.”
Read the words aloud to the children, pointing to each word as
10、you do so.
Play the first part of the song twice, up to the word five. Encourage the children to join in by singing or clapping.
Repeat the procedure for the second part of the song.
Play the song again, and encourage the children to touch the words in their books as they sing along.
5.Sing the song
Student Book page 29
Divide the class into two groups. Have all the children sing the first line together. Then have each group sing alternate numbers in the song.
Play the song again from the beginning.
