13、ms是動賓關系,也就是說Simms是被采訪的,所以用過去分詞表被動,when interviewed 相當于“when he was interviewed”。句意:在接受采訪的時候,Simms也給出了一些建議。
2.ranging 句意:國家公園里有大量的小至蝴蝶、大到大象的野生動物。range意為“包括(各種不同的事物)”和wildlife是主謂關系,應該使用動詞-ing形式作定語,相當于定語從句that/which ranges from butterflies to elephants。
3.spent 句意:吉姆已經(jīng)退休了,但是他依然記得和學生們在一起度過的那些快樂時光。根據(jù)句子
14、結構可知,空格處應作名詞time的后置定語,動詞spend與time是動賓結構,應該使用過去分詞形式表示被動。
4.Observe 根據(jù)上下文可知,后面提供了兩個從句,一個為條件狀語從句,另一個為時間狀語從句的省略句。由此可知,句意表述在某條件下和某時間,“建議某人做某事”。這里選擇動詞原形,構成祈使句。
